God bless Elizabeth Edwards, she may be dying of cancer but she certainly knows who to blame for her husband's admitted infidelity - the National Enquirer of course. Yep, the National Enquirer made him do it - that would be my defense.
This is just the latest in a long litany of Elizabeth Edwards stepping up to the plate to defend her man. Well, someone certainly should, because he's too much of a wimp to do it himself. I'm just not sure the wronged wife is the one who should keep doing it.
Remember back when Ann Coulter was interviewed on Good Morning America and made the remark about Edwards being killed in a terrorist attack (she really wasn't saying Edwards should die - she was making a point about something else - unfortunately it came out badly)? She also had been making the point that Edwards used his deceased son as campaign fodder (which he did) on a regular basis. Anyway, Ann then goes on Hardball and Chris Matthews gleefully let's Elizabeth Edwards come on the phone and lambast Ann for all these things. So, once again, Johnny boy let Elizabeth be his defender. You almost expect Elizabeth to be the knight in shining armor and John is her Guinevere (come to think of it...)

Earlier Elizabeth had gotten hot under the collar after many people hinted that perhaps their decision to stay in the campaign after announcing Elizabeth's cancer was back was a political ploy - "feel sorry for me because my wife is dying of cancer and vote me into office!"
Of course, in hindsight we now know that, well, at least according to Edwards, he had just ended a short-term affair with Reille Hunter and had unloaded his guilt on Elizabeth. So, unbeknowst to us she was dealing with the knowledge that her husband had committed adultery and bam, her cancer reoccurs. Yeah John, good timing there.
According to Hunter (the other woman), she got "bad vibes" from Elizabeth when she met her one time - and soon after that she was relieved of her $114,000 job as a videographer on the Edwards campaign trail.
Okay, let's get this straight. The "former" mistress was paid $114,000 to take video of him on the campaign trail (something she had no experience in) - AFTER the affair with Edwards was supposedly over. Edwards has said that he told Elizabeth about his fooling around and probably with whom he did it, so does Elizabeth not have the right to give the "former" mistress of her husband the treatment she so justly deserved - in other words blow her off as the inconsequential amoeba that she is? Did Reille really think that Elizabeth was going to become her new BFF and they'd get together for lunch every Tuesday at the Country Club?
And in between the twit and the wronged wife stands a complete and total nitwit with hairspray for brains. (Who, according to Reille ranks right up there with Gandhi and Martin Luther King, Jr. - I'd say she has hairspray for brains too, but then again, I've seen her hair).
Elizabeth, politics aside, I do admire your struggle against breast cancer a disease that has claimed too many lives. But please, don't defend this loser anymore. He is not worth any of the pain he has put you through.

Boy I wish I could get 114,000 dollars for having sex. And I wonder what other films were made to probably get even more money under the table. I couldn't even get 14 cents for sex.Wait maybe that will be my new price range from one to fourteen cents
She is neither the woman scorned nor the woman duped. She's up to her neck in dirty politics. She has "a chip in the big game" and plays just as dirty as the boys do. Two pigs in a pod.
